2 Do You Hear What I Hear?
(back to contents)Said the night wind to the little lamb:
"Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky, little lamb
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite, With a tail as big as a kite"
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy:
"Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song, high above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea, With a voice as big as the sea"
Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king:
"Do you know what I know?
In your palace warm, mighty king
Do you know what I know?
A child, a child shivers in the cold
Let us bring Him silver and gold, Let us bring Him silver and gold"
Said the king to the people everywhere:
"Listen to what I say
Pray for peace, people everywhere
Listen to what I say
The child, the child, sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light, He will bring us goodness and light"
3 My Favourite Things (Rodgers and Hammerstein)

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittensBright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favourite things
Cream coloured ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favourite things.
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favourite things.
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I’m feeling sad;
I simply remember my favourite things
And then I don’t feel so bad.
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I’m feeling sad;
I simply remember my favourite things
And then I don’t feel so bad.

I have no gift to bring, pa rum pum pum pum
That’s fit to give a King, pa rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum.
Shall I play for you, pa rum pum pum pum
On my drum?
Mary nodded, pa rum pum pum pum
The ox and lamb kept time, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my drum for Him, pa rum pum pum pum
I played my best for Him, pa rum pum pum pum
Rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum.

Hark how the bells, sweet silver bellsAll seem to say, "Throw cares away"
Christmas is here, bringing good cheer
To young and old, meek and the bold
Ding-dong, ding-dong, that is their song
With joyful ring, all carolling
One seems to hear, words of good cheer
From ev'rywhere, filling the air
Oh, how they pound, raising the sound
O'er hill and dale, telling their tale
Gaily they ring while people sing
Songs of good cheer, Christmas is here
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas
Hark how the bells, sweet silver bells
All seem to say, "Throw cares away"
Christmas is here, bringing good cheer
To young and old, meek and the bold
Ding-dong, ding-dong, that is their song
With joyful ring, all caroling
One seems to hear, words of good cheer
From ev'rywhere, filling the air
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas
Choir finishes the piece on their own!
7 Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
(back to contents)
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,Let your heart be light
From now on our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Make the Yule-tide gay,
From now on our troubles will be miles away.
Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more.
Through the years
We all will be together,
If the Fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough.
And have yourself A merry little Christmas now.

A Christo regnante.

9 I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas
(back to contents)
solo:The Sun is shining, The weather is fine.
The orange and palm trees sway.
There’s never been such a day,
In Beverly Hills L.A.
But it’s December the twenty-fourth
And I am longing to be up north!
chorus:I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

11 Silver Bells (Livingston and Evans)
(back to contents)
Christmas makes you feel emotional,It may bring parties, or thoughts devotional
Whatever happens or what may be
Here is what Christmastime means to me
City sidewalks, busy sidewalks.
Dressed in holiday style
In the air there’s a feeling of Christmas
Children laughing, People passing
Meeting smile after smile
And on every street corner you’ll hear:
Chorus:
Silver bells, silver bells
It’s Christmas time in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them sing
Soon it will be Christmas day
Strings of street lights, even stop lights
Blink a bright red and green
As the shoppers rush home with their treasures
Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch
This is Santa’s big scene
And above all this bustle you’ll hear…
12 Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
(back to contents)
You know dasher and dancer and prancer and Vixen,Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen,
But do you recall
the most famous reindeer of all? Antiphon in brackets...
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose. (nose)
And if you ever saw him, (saw him)
you would even say it glows. (like a lightbulb!)
All of the other reindeer (reindeer)
used to laugh and call him names. (like what?)
They never let poor Rudolph (Rudolph)
join in any reindeer games.
Ladies: Then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa came to say:
Men: "Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
All: Then all the reindeer loved him (loved him)
as they shouted out with glee, (yipee!!!)
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!
you'll go down in history!
(back to contents)
Chestnuts roasting on an open fireJack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up in winter clothes
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is going to spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly
And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you.
(back to contents)
While shepherds watched their flocks by night all seated on the groundThe angel of the Lord came down and glory shone around
[Chorus]
(Sweet bells) sweet chiming Christmas Bells
(Sweet bells) sweet chiming Christmas Bells
They cheer us on our heavenly way, sweet chiming bells
They cheer us on our heavenly way, sweet chiming bells
"Fear not," said he, for mighty dread
Had seized their troubled minds
"Clad tidings of great joy I bring
To you and all mankind"
(Sweet bells) sweet chiming Christmas Bells
(Sweet bells) sweet chiming Christmas Bells
They cheer us on our heavenly way, sweet chiming bells
They cheer us on our heavenly way, sweet chiming bells
"To you in David's town this day is born of David's line
The Savior who is Christ the Lord
And this shall be the sign"
(Sweet bells) sweet chiming Christmas Bells
(Sweet bells) sweet chiming Christmas Bells
They cheer us on our heavenly way, sweet chiming bells
They cheer us on our heavenly way, sweet chiming bells
15 Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! (Jule Styne / Sammy Cahn)
(back to contents)
Oh, the weather outside is frightfulBut the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Man it doesn't show signs of stoppin'
And I brought me some corn for poppin'
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When we finally kiss good-night
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing
But as long as you'd love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, AND SNOW!

O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,Wie treu sind deine Blätter!
Du grünst nicht nur zur Sommerzeit,
Nein, auch im Winter, wenn es schneit.
O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
Wie treu sind deine Blätter!
O Christmas tree x2
With faithful leaves, unchanging
Not only green in Summer’s heat
but in the Winter’s now and sleet
O Christmas tree x2
With faithful leaves, unchanging
O Christmas tree x2
of all the trees most lovely. (x2)
Each year you bring – to me delight,
Gleaming in the Christmas night.
O Christmas tree, x2 of all the trees most lovely.
O Christmas tree x2
your leaves will teach me also (x2)
That hope and love, and faithfulness
Are precious things I can possess.
O Christmas tree, x2 - your leaves will teach me also.
17 Winter Wonderland (Felix Bernard / Dick Smith)
(back to contents)
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening? In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight
Walking in the winter wonderland
Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay, is the new bird
He sings a love song, as we go along
Walking in the winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown
He'll say “are you married?” We'll say, “no man
But you can do the job when you're in town”
Later on, we'll conspire
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid, the plans that we've made
Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman
And pretend that he's a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with Mr. Snowman
Until the other kiddies knock him down
When it snows, ain't it thrillin'?
Though you know, kids are chillin'
We'll frolic and play, as beautiful day
Walking in a winter wonderland
